About Etching

If your aluminum project is subject to weather, extreme temperatures, sunlight, chemicals and solvents, etching may be ideal. The etching process uses a strong caustic chemical to cut into unprotected parts of a metal surface to create a design or image. Black or other colored anodized aluminums can have the coloring stripped away by etching to create the image or design.

Aluminums can have their surface etched, then filled with screen printed inks for a durable product a step above simple screen printed aluminum plates.
