
Since 1970, U.S. Nameplate Company has been owned and managed by Dick Novetzke, President. A former Navy pilot, Dick expanded the facility and production capacity four times to its current 77,000 square feet. Although U.S. Nameplate started with metal plates only, Dick followed customer needs as well as industry trends so that we now print, etch, emboss, form, die-cut, and fabricate a wide variety of metal and flexible substrates, using an unlimited range of colors and designs. In 2006, U.S. Nameplate Company served 900 customers and completed 9,000 unique part projects.

Susan Torbett leads the Production Department. Susan is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of all phases of production from art/design, print and fabrication through scheduling, final inspection, and shipping. The overall objective of Production is to have 100% on-time shipments with zero defects. Susan is additionally responsible for equipment maintenance, operational safety and cleanliness, and ISO 9001 processes and documentation. A 20+ year employee of U.S. Nameplate Company, Susan has the experience and knowledge to make sure our customers get what they need, when they need it.

Nathan Smith leads Marketing and Sales. Nathan oversees quoting, customer service before and after the sale, and marketing efforts to support the Salt Lake City office and the manufacturers’ representatives. He also publishes quarterly printed and emailed newsletters. A key part of service delivery at U.S. Nameplate Company is the customer relationship software system that manages information on customers, and expedites orders to Production.

Andrew Novetzke, Vice President, Sales, is responsible for business development. Based out of Salt Lake City Utah, he exhibits at tradeshows and opens new industry markets for U.S. Nameplate Company’s products. A ten-year veteran of U.S. Nameplate, Andrew's goal is to grow the company by serving customers with fairness and honesty.

Dan Wolfe is the Controller, and is responsible for all accounting, purchasing and human resource functions. Dan provides metrics to the President, Production, and Marketing to support the daily management of the company.

Donna Ulch specializes in quoting prices and delivery times for projects, especially with new or unusual parts. As a 30-year veteran of U.S. Nameplate Company, she has worked in many areas of Production and Sales. Donna is an expert on all the materials, production processes, and services required to complete a part exactly as specified in the most efficient manner, which means the lowest possible cost.

Carrie Smith has been with U.S. Nameplate Company for five years, and supports customers with a smile and a friendly voice. A graduate of the Univeristy of Iowa in business and marketing, she is an expert in all aspects of customer service. Serving hundreds of accounts means Carrie has to work effectively and efficiently. She uses all the tools in the U.S. Nameplate Company toolbox to deliver quality parts, on-time, and at a fair price.

Jennifer Brandt may be our “new kid on the block” with only 1½ years at U.S. Nameplate Company, but don’t let that small number fool you. Jennifer came to us after 7 years as a systems analyst, with a degree in management information systems from Buena Vista University, in Storm Lake, Iowa. Jennifer’s goal is to make each of her customers happy, and uses our new customer relationship management software to accomplish that.
